Project overview
The SDG Action Zone took place during the 74th United Nations General Assembly, transforming part of the UN grounds into a more open space for events, lightning talks, rotating exhibits and interactive content focused on accelerating action around the Sustainable Development Goals.
As part of the programme, Overview Collective was invited to curate a selection of 360° films that could transport audiences beyond New York and into stories of climate impact, conservation and sustainable solutions around the world.

Curating the experience
Rather than treating VR as a technology showcase, we selected films for their ability to give visitors a more immediate perspective on complex global issues. The films were chosen to move audiences from information to proximity — allowing visitors to witness the effects of climate change firsthand while encountering the people and solutions responding to it around the world.

The SDG Action Zone created a more open, participatory space within UN General Assembly High-Level Week. Overview curated a selection of 360° films that transported visitors into stories of climate impact, conservation and sustainable solutions — not simply hearing about them, but stepping inside the places and stories behind them.
